September 2011 -Changing Lives Forever

“Once you start learning, you never stop!” Such were the words from Ms Louw from Steiner Hygiene, a lively participant in the recent interview with a quality assurer visiting her Adult Education and Training (AET) class. She said that she has more confidence in communicating with people around her, both at work and in the community. She wishes to complete all the levels available in AET. All the learners from the AET Programme agree that this AET has changed their lives for the better. They want to embark on REALLL Training afterwards, which will accelerate them to NQF 4 in Mathematics and English, and allow entry into any qualification at NQF 4 or below.

“We cannot hope for more than this, changing lives forever through our AET Programmes,” said Mr Denis Van der Merwe, the Head of Sales and Marketing at Triple E Training Holdings (Pty) Ltd. If we can change one person’s life for the better, than we are surely on the right track?! The skills that these learners are perfecting will give them the grounds to enter any further training opportunities. We take our hats off to them because they are mothers, wives, husbands and fathers, brothers and sisters AND employees. To study is a lot on top of this. But we are confident that it’s the cherry on the top!”

Training Programmes like this have a snowball effect. Learners take their skills into the workplace, and share them with their communities who share them with the youth and so on. And this snowball can never be too huge because if we are constantly changing in this way we are growing.
