September 2011 -Success is NOT the Key to Happiness…
…….Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. So said Albert Schweitzer, and we have to say that we agree wholeheartedly.
Having just celebrated 20 years of Adult Education and Training, the team from Triple E Training feels the same happiness about developing learning materials, learning systems, training facilitators and facilitating the skills of Communication and Mathematics, as we did all those moons ago! And because we are happy doing what we do, we are confident that we encourage successful learners.
Mapheto Rabothebodi is one of the Adult Education and Training (AET) learners who started Communication classes at LaFarge Kaalfontein a few years back and says that he can now read and speak better in English. He is delighted to be able to read his newspapers, namely The Sowetan and The Daily Sun without any assistance. He stated that Triple E Training is providing good facilitation and this makes his life easier. Sithole Lizenze Vincent is another Lafarge learner who is extremely happy to be able to, through AET, do his personal “stuff” like banking. It is just a matter of time before he progresses again to a new level.
There is no getting away from the fact that we are, in South Africa, still challenged in terms of communication and problem-solving. “These skills are indeed embedded in the Triple E Training Holdings (Pty) Ltd ET Programme. Only once these skills improve overall, will efficient production and sufficient progress occur,” says Sharon Blignaut, Head of Learning Development at Triple E Training. “Any workplace who thinks that Adult Education and Training is wasting time and money. is fooling itself.”
Lafarge sets an example of excellent people development and their happy, skilled workforce will be beneficial to all concerned. We applaud Lafarge and the AET learners and wish them happiness, and thus success in the near future.
