LEARN TO READ and see everything in focus

When adult students arrive in the classroom to learn to read, they can be at just about any level in their reading development, from beginner readers working on the fundamentals to more advanced readers. Reading develops gradually over time and a reader’s mastery of different components may develop at different rates. Learning the ABET way allows learners to pace themselves so that they are never made to feel overwhelmed and left behind. Assessing each component provides a complete picture of an adult’s reading ability.

Employers directly benefit when employees learn to read because they can do their jobs better, but not only that, reading is essential to changing the attitudes, behavior and performance of employees because it yields a wide range of further benefits for employers. To achieve developmental goals;  businesses should consistently develop and up-skill their human resources. In hospitals, for example, reading skills means that employees take less time to understand and apply work instructions accurately; learn to read and you will be able to see everything in absolute focus in the world.

Employers see a sharply increased ability of employees to solve problems confronting them in the workplace as the single most common benefit they gain when employees learn to read and complete courses that improve literacy problem-solving skills. The enhanced capacity of employees to solve problems can free up management’s time.
