ABET

LEARN BASIC MATH SKILLS and multiply your success rate

In recent years in South Africa the need has arisen for management to pay urgent attention to training and development for previously disadvantaged people employed in their organizations,   which in turn results in the active and creative participation of all members of the community and to learn basic math skills means that understanding distance to work, taxi fees and overtime calculated on additional hours becomes something you understand, instead of relying on someone else working it out for you and doing it inaccurately!

The ABET learning structure covers ABET Levels 1,2,3 and 4, with ABET Level 4 as equivalent to NQF Level 1. This training, designed for adult learners, develops thinking skills, and is appropriately customized throughout delivery to enable learners to learn basic math skills:

  • values
  • averages and proportions
  • division of fractions and decimals
  • percentages
  • multiplication, division, adding and subtracting
  • averages and proportions
  • estimates

To teach and to learn basic math skills develops the following in the adult learner:

  • recognizes that maths is a creative part of human activity;
  • a critical awareness of how mathematical relationships are used in social, environmental, cultural and economic relations.

To learn basic math skills enables persons to contribute to and participate with confidence in society. Access to maths is a human right in itself, and Triple e, starting with a beginner class and learning to identify numbers, works up to fractions and proportions.  The teachers are understanding, adding a fun environment while not subtracting from the self-paced learning experience.

With more than 500 different workbooks being continuously updated and improved every year, as well as being one of the top 5 ABET providers, it is small wonder that Triple e draws so many company's looking to enlist their staff into such an exciting program that adds value and confidence to go forward.
