TAKEN AS READ - BASIC READING TRAINING

Social exclusion is characterised by a lack of education and employment; failure to acquire basic skills such as basic reading training as well as numeracy can place us at a distinct disadvantage in these areas.

Many enlightened, previously disadvantaged adults, when asked why the need to improve basic skills and basic reading training, the most likely reason was to feel more confident about yourself simply because you would be able to perform basic skills in everyday tasks, get a job or a promotion and to help your children and possibly change their attitude to the importance of education! Being too busy to attend training is a common complaint but Triple e Training caters for everyone; we offer basic reading classes right through the week, Monday to Sunday and are able to adapt our times to suit learners where time is limited.

Basic reading training depends on the individual's needs., but prior to being allocated to a class, learners are assessed to ensure that they are enrolled for the appropriate ABET level. On completion of a specific ABET level, learners are re-assessed before being allowed to progress to the next level.

Training aims at improving basic skills in sight word recognition, spelling, oral reading for accuracy and fluency, comprehension and writing, and through a variety of methods the program also aims at teaching the students about applying acquired skills to the workplace. A solid grounding in basic reading training helps workers not only to learn, but how to adapt to the changing demands in their job situation once they have empowered themselves with this additional knowledge.

To ensure the development and sustenance of literate and confident citizens, we must maintain a concerted effort to promote reading, and with a national pass rate in excess of 99% per annum for the last 7 years, we at Triple e Training ensure you that you can realise your dreams and goals too.
