Human Resources Procedures TrainingIn the past Human Resources Procedures as set out in the manuals of HR departments simply focused on company employment procedures with strong emphasis on compliance with regulations. Human Resources Procedures however, should also identify and sought to implement strategies in an organized manner to remove hurdles to employment prospects for individuals in specific groups. The Human Resources Procedures should be able to pass more than a mere desk review of the procedures in place. Formalization of non-discriminatory policies should be in place. The diversified workforce should be embraced for the qualities it presents and the company should not only focus on the adoption of policies that reflect their company’s strategic goals. The employment system assessment should be based on broader organizational values as well as the social and cultural key points. As such the HR manual is the company’s most important visible commitment to the above and should as such reflect the company’s HR strategy, as well as values and commitment to change and the prospective organizational culture. Employment practices should not be watered down to a set of written policies and regulations, but should be open to evaluation of whether the practices are acceptable to their employees and in line with demands for change in society. There should thus be measures both qualitative and quantitative to compare the manuals and actual procedures followed against that which is the goal. As such we invite you to get in contact with us for training in setting up a functional Human Resources Procedures Manual.
