SETA approved training questions answered

Some of the FAQ regarding SETA approved training are answered below. What does it mean when an institution provides SETA approved training? In short it means that the specific training as for instance, provided by Triple e is approved for that sector of the economy.

Why are there different SETA approved training programs and why does a program need to fall within the approval of a specific SETA and not a national body? There are different SETAS – in fact more than 20 operate at the moment. Each one is there for a specific industry such as Clothing and Textiles or Chemical Industry. The reason for this is that the organization is focused on that industry and thus best understands the standards of training required within that industry. Can you give me more examples of such organizations?

Yes as said above there are more than 22 such organizations including:

  • Banking Sector Education and Training Authority
  • Financial and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training
  • Mining Qualifications Authority
  • Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority
