African language courses

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Once the manager or supervisor understands the language of the workers and is able to effectively communicate in their language, fewer mistakes and misunderstanding follow. Triple e also provides African language courses to help managers communicate in Zulu, Tswana, Sotho, and Xhosa. A Xhosa manager for instance, will have difficulty to build trust, establish good report with and motivate workers if the manager cannot speak their language. The same applies to a Tswana, English, Sotho, Afrikaans, or Zulu manager. As such you can now bridge the communication gap that exists in the workplace by enrolling the managers in short and effective African language courses through Triple e at your specific workplace.

African language courses for beginners

Although online and CD based training exist to help people learn foreign languages, few people have the time, discipline, and will to complete the self study training. Triple-e provides African language courses for beginners at the client’s premises and at scheduled times that suit the client company and its employees. The short African language courses teach the employees basic conversation skills, more advanced skills and communication in the language or languages suited for the workplace. If your company is in the financial sector, it will be important for the employees to communicate in for instance Northern Sotho regarding financial aspects. The same holds true for people working in any industry. Our African language courses are interactive and geared to the improvement of communication in society and the workplace. As such the African language courses are focused on your specific industry.

Triple e not only provides literacy and numeracy courses, we also provide basic conversational skills training which includes African language courses. English and Afrikaans speakers often struggle to communicate with their colleagues and workers because of the language gap. Our African language courses include Zulu, South and North Sotho, as well as Tswana and Xhosa. We do a pre-assessment orally with each attendee to ensure that the candidate starts the African language courses at the correct level. This also enables us to customize the learning material and the African language courses to fit the requirements of the attendees.
