ABET Training For Those Who Want To Better Themselves

ABET or Adult Basic Education and Training as it stands for certainly has its place in our society. Too many individuals are victims of their past circumstance or bad decisions in their lives and as a result are uneducated and unable to obtain a job where they are earning enough income to care for their families. Many companies in South Africa have started investigating ABET training for the benefit of their staff members. ABET courses can involve teaching individuals a variety of skills to ensure that they are able to further themselves in their chosen fields.

At Triple E Training we provide various ABET training courses that can be held on your premises or on ours. Some of our tutors are known to even travel to areas where walking and 4×4 transport are the only forms of access. Our dedication to providing a top quality education to those that want and crave it is evident in each and every one of our courses and classes on offer.

Choose the Best ABET Training Centre in South Africa

ABET in South Africa is something that has been focused on for quite some time. Some companies allow their staff members to attend ABET training courses in order to improve on efficiency and productivity in the work place. This means that both individual and employer benefit from the courses on offer. At Triple E Training we offer basic courses that focus on communication skills, language, basic numeracy, basic reading and even how to read time. Our courses are set out in different levels that focus on the various different competencies of each individual. The type and level of course you or your staff members will complete will depend on their current level of education and their desired educational outcome.

Our basic conversational and communication skills class is a popular ABET training course on offer. It focuses on greetings, asking about family health, giving directions and even general geography of South Africa. It also addresses shopping for clothes, groceries and similar while paying attention to the work place in great detail. The tasks the individual is meant to carry out and the company procedures are taken into account and the course customised to suit the individual or group according to this. You can expect your staff to need approximately 32 hours to complete this course. Each learner is assessed prior to the course to ascertain what his or her competency level is. The course plan is then set in place with this in mind.

At Triple E Training we want to make ABET in South Africa more accessible to local businesses and the public. We strongly believe that growth is possible through development and endeavour to ensure that each individual is offered the opportunity to expand on their knowledge, improve on their level of education and better their future. Empower your staff members by providing them with the opportunity to learn more, improve on their skills and work their way up in the work place. Our ABET training courses will take your staff members and business to new heights. Investigate our various courses and classes without delay.

The legacies of the past have left South Africa with the need to address some serious educational deficits. Government policies condemned vast numbers of learners to incomplete or makeshift tuition that led to high levels of adult illiteracy and limited maths ability. , for more details of all available ABET courses within the 9 provinces or in Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho. are changing that. These are adult basic education and training schemes that use a network of facilitators to empower the previously disadvantaged and transform career prospects. Among the basic aims of ABET courses are improved adult literacy and numeracy.

One of the prime strengths of , for more details of all available ABET courses within the 9 provinces or in Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho. is that providers must be accredited to the appropriate NQF level in order to participate, thus offering assured relevance and value to learners. Accreditation with Umalusi is the basic requirement but some centres may only be accredited to train facilitators. Prospective learners or their employers are advised to check the status of any organization claiming to provide bona fide ABET courses against the official list posted on the Umalusi website.

ABET courses have grown considerably in their overall scope. Some of the leading providers in this field now offer 300 or more units for learners, each developed to meet nationally required standards. In addition to the fundamentals of numeracy and literacy, new ABET courses are constantly being developed to meet the ever changing needs of vocational training. These are focussed on helping learners to acquire and develop those specific skills required by the nature of their jobs. Such courses serve to improve a worker’s personal performance and his or her future prospects.

South Africa’s increasing involvement in international markets, has made linguistic skills more important. The language of international commerce is English and those who can’t speak it risk being seen as illiterate. One important focus for ABET courses is basic business English. The aims of ABET tuition differ from those of mainstream education in being focussed on job requirements and not academic excellence. Nevertheless, many ABET courses have the secondary aim of readying for further learning.

Without the assistance of volunteers to act as facilitators in the Adult Basic Education and Training programme, the project would be a resounding failure. Volunteers are required on an ongoing basis around the country to work from learning centres or provide services at business premises. Candidates require matric certification or some other form of higher learning degree or diploma and will receive the necessary training to enable them to fulfil the role of a facilitator. Finding the right candidates can be tedious without the use of ABET recruitment tools. Flyers and other media are available for download via the internet. The best recruitment tool is however word of mouth and students as well as existing facilitators can be roped in to spread the word regarding the need for volunteers in an area.

Although it is imperative to provide a means of educating illiterate people in South Africa, it is also important to improve reading skills. A higher level of reading and understanding literacy materials is necessary for individuals to access further development and higher learning facilities. Further education and training facilities will not accept learners or students who only have basic reading and writing skills as they will not able to follow the course material. Learning at a higher level requires a student to be able to absorb knowledge on their own as well as interpret the subject matter with only the assistance of a lecturer.

Management of projects is normally left up to upper management or the executives within a company. Having employees who understand the basics of project management can help the project run more efficiently. A person who understands the need for deadlines and can be incentivised to meet them is more likely to work well within the time framework. A knowledge of budgeting and the costs related to a project can also create an awareness amongst employees of the need to work efficiently. Most people do not have these skills and can benefit from a basic project management course such as that offered by the Adult Basic Education and Training programme.

Mathematical classes are not the most favourite amongst learners and students at education institutions. However, most of us take it for granted that we are able to count and perform basic calculations without the use of a calculator. We need these skills to fulfil certain simple tasks in society such as purchasing items. Some people in South Africa do not have these maths skills and are in dire need of education and training. But before a person can learn to count and calculate, they must also be able to read and write. The Adult Basic Education and Training programme that was rolled out by government in association with SETA’s aims to eliminate the problem of illiteracy and the lack of mathematical skills in the country.
