ABET and the management of projects
Management of projects is normally left up to upper management or the executives within a company. Having employees who understand the basics of project management can help the project run more efficiently. A person who understands the need for deadlines and can be incentivised to meet them is more likely to work well within the time framework. A knowledge of budgeting and the costs related to a project can also create an awareness amongst employees of the need to work efficiently. Most people do not have these skills and can benefit from a basic project management course such as that offered by the Adult Basic Education and Training programme.
