SHORT COURSES OFFERED:
Basic Conversational Skills
Skills in Zulu, Tswana, North and South Sotho and Xhosa for English and Afrikaans mother-tongue speakers.
A pre-assessment is done orally for each candidate, to ensure correct placement of the candidates. This also assists with the customisation of the material and the programmes as a whole.
This course consists of three study units:
1. Greetings, asking about someone's health, family names, directions home and geography of South Africa.
2. Shopping for groceries and clothes, money and transport.
3. The workplace is literally covered in detail. This study unit is customised to suit the company's procedures and preferences.
This course is approximately 32 hours in duration. A post-assessment will ideally determine the competency of the learner in a language. Learners can also acquire an ABET Level 1 Communication qualification upon demonstrating competence - The duration of this course is 100 hours.
