January 2011 -Umalusi Calls on Fly-By-Nights Providers to Get Legal
Umalusi, the quality Council responsible for standards and quality in general and further education and Training, has issued a stern warning to providers who are operating illegally. Triple E Training’s view is that we certainly do not need fly-by-nights in this field which has its fair share of challenges already. Every challenge affects the learner adversely, and education and training as a whole needs to fight this illegal element. If you are looking at a Provider, check their accreditation via the relevant ETQA and /or their registration with the Department of Higher Education. Although time is of the essence, the more background information you obtain on the provider, the stronger your training foundation. And strong foundations lead to excellent results! Go to www.eee.co.za under Frequently Asked Questions for some tips on choosing your provider! For further comment on this warning by Umalusi see Umalusi's website.
