August 2010 - Resolutely Determined to Succeed in ABET at Resolution Health!

Six learners from the ABET class at Resolution Health talked to Triple e Training Holdings (PTY) Ltd and their fellow ABET group members about their ABET experiences under one mutually agreed upon heading: What ABET has done for me. We are proud to provide you with the ABET learners’ summarised versions:

When Sam Maake was placed into ABET Communication Level 4 he was surprised as he had a negative perception of the whole ABET programme, thinking it was designed for people who had no matric and knew nothing. He wondered if the company was not taking him seriously. But after attending the ABET regularly and getting the help he needed, he came to realise that ABET is not for “dom” people. He found this out after realising that he could through the ABET Programme, speak better English and have enough confidence to address people and speak the Queen’s language! He wants to advise those who still think that ABET is for nobodies, to attend ABET classes and see the differences themselves. Rahube Maake also thought he was being undermined by his employer when he was recruited to ABET classes. But then the light shone, because through the ABET he gained more English vocabulary and it also helped him to remember things he had done previously but normally forgotten. ABET is a good programme and he is grateful to Resolution Health for starting the ABET Programme.
Maria Dube started by thanking all the people who arranged the whole ABET training, including her employer and Triple E Training Holdings PTY LTD. She said that the ABET gave her another chance of improving her skills. She firstly thought that, by being recruited to attend ABET classes, her employer thought that she was not good enough at work and believed that they took her for training so as to prove it. ABET to them was for “nobodies”. This perception changed after attending ABET regularly and doing her work with the help of the ABET facilitator, Mr. Nkosana Dube. She would like to complete her current level and go on to ABET Communication Level 4 which will help her further her studies. Pieter Peterson was placed into ABET Level 3 Communication and just like the previous speakers, was also surprised to be called in for ABET training. But the results from the ABET are that his communication has improved; his vocabulary is getting better and better and he understands English better than ever before. If given a chance, he would like to complete ABET Level 4 and go on further learning, adding to the foundation he got from ABET.
Sue-Ann Swart is doing ABET Communication Level 4. She was retrenched and had no hope of getting another job until her previous “boss” advised to join the ABET classes. The ABET Programmes has helped her a lot as she will now be able to add this qualification to her curriculum vitae. She has had a very good experiences with the ABET programme and is very happy with what ABET is doing for her. She now knows and believes that ABET add value to a person’s life. Patricia Thuys would like to thank Resolution Health for choosing her in attending the ABET programme and again for choosing Triple E Training Holdings PTY LTD as their ABET Provider. She also thanked the professional and knowledgeable Mr. Nkosana Dube, for his patience and understanding of the ABET learners’ special needs.

Triple e Training Holdings (PTY) Ltd wishes this very vibrant ABET group, who are active people and know and know where they’re going, all the best with their ABET journey. The ABET presentations to your fellow class mates were brilliant and we expect you to go far!
