August 2010 - Letter of Recognition and Encouragement for EEE Teacher from ABET Learner
Hi there Kobie, Meagan and Noma.
As a guy that last went to school many years ago in England, I was also a bit nervous and apprehensive about having to be assessed and do what ever portfolios are required of me to achieve ABET level 4 in Literacy and Numeracy. I would therefore just like to express a few words that I am sure will only but add encouragement, confidence and a positive attitude towards contributing to us at Powerful PE meeting one of our targets; that being all employees completing our ABET educational programme.
I have just completed ABET level 4 maths today and would like to give recognition to our maths teacher Nomfundo (Traditional name “Mashweme”) which is what I called her and I must admit to her surprise hearing a Caucasian male call her “Mashweme” really lit her face up with a huge smile and appreciation.
What an absolute pleasure it has been doing maths with such a very competent, friendly lady with an awesome sense of humour and such a bubbly personality. She really makes the student feel relaxed and continuously praises the student when achieving a positive result as we go through the portfolio.
Nomfundo really puts all her students at ease and there is no need to stress and worry as she creates an atmosphere that is relaxed, fun and very conducive to learning.
Well done Nomfundo, it was such a pleasure having you as our tutor.
Kobie, please share this feedback with Nomfundfo and I would also like this to be shared with those that still have to complete their ABET as an encouragement to go for it as it is most enjoyable and there is no stress at all.
Lets “Keep the Home Fires Burning” by achieving this goal of the Powerful PE Team
Many thanks.
Kindest Regards
Dave
