Educate, Enrich, Empower and Enable - Empowering the disabled

Triple e Training Holdings has embarked on a NEW and EXCITING journey of empowerment by outsourcing its data capturing of Monthly Attendance registers and Progress Reports to the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled. This was quite an exciting and encumbering research adventure, with multiple rewards.

Empowering the disabled

Santie Viljoen, Data Controller at the Learning Management Centre at Triple e, trains and supports the data capturing process at the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled. This is an ongoing support and development process as the need for more data capturers at the centre increases. A team of verifiers checks and manages quality control to ensure that data integrity is not compromised and the highest standards are continuously maintained.

The objective of the project was to ensure gradual exposure to the controlled work environment and technology, without outside bias or prejudice.

Triple e invested over seventy thousand rand in IT Equipment and resources for installations at the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled (WRAPD).

An administrative centre, with sufficient IT technology and equipment, was installed and made available to the people of the WRAPD, which allows for access to internet facilities during off-peak periods and open communication with the Triple e offices.

Triple e invested a lot of time and dedication in developing a learning management system that accommodates the needs of our customers, our learners and our patrons. This software programme (WECOZA) manages learner attendance, progress and every quality aspect of training and development as required by the Skills Development initiatives.

Empowering the disabled

WECOZA was designed with the physically disabled in mind, so that we could extend our employment opportunities and contributions to society. WECOZA is geared to manage Triple e Training Holdings projects, learnership achievement management and offer information ready for inclusion on the NLRD. We are preparing to offer this as an independent service in the future for all training interventions, internally and externally.

In support of this initiative, Triple e analysed and monitored the level of complexity and quality of the capturing of the monthly reports at its Head Office in Krugersdorp to confirm that the system supports and embraces the abilities of the Disabled.

The income generated from this initiative at the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled is distributed equally amongst the people who are physically disabled, thereby accommodating those who are not able to actively participate in the capturing process.

Triple E Training encourages and advocates the education, enrichment and empowerment of all people.
